The publication of the PISA results is scheduled for December 2026, in the midst of the presidential election in France. The French and global media climate is unlikely to encourage nuanced analysis.
We are therefore taking advantage of this period of relative calm to reflect more thoughtfully on how PISA might be improved, particularly in terms of how its results are communicated, so that they can foster more measured and constructive debate at the national level.
