Cookies and other trackers policy
Cookies or tracers are small files that record the visit and activity of individuals on connected sites or applications. They are generally associated with a terminal or browsing software and enable site and application publishers to gather quantitative and qualitative information on the use of their products. This activity, known as "tracking", is the basis for the continuous improvement of products and services offered on the Internet: functionalities, ergonomics, personalisation, etc.
This includes all traces deposited and read, for example, when consulting a website, reading an e-mail, installing or using software or a mobile application, regardless of the type of terminal used, such as a computer, smartphone, e-reader or video game console connected to the Internet.
By extension, the term "cookie" covers (non-exhaustive list) :
- HTTP & "flash" cookies ;
- the result of the calculation of a fingerprint in the case of "fingerprinting" (calculation of a unique identifier of the machine based on elements of its configuration for tracking purposes);
- invisible pixels or "web bugs";
- any other identifier generated by software or an operating system.
